Event testing is now available on the entire Level TROLL^® and Aqua TROLL^® 200 instrument line. This powerful testing mode is ideal for tracking events that are not easily predicted such as rising water levels during a storm.

Collect only data of interest by initiating logging under user-defined conditions. Events are defined based on increasing, decreasing or changing values – or a combination of conditions. Data are logged at a defined frequency for collection of baseline information and sampling rates automatically increase during events of interest. For more information on event testing, click here.

To add this feature to an existing Level TROLL 300 or 500* instrument, a firmware update will be needed.  This is available by downloading Win-Situ 5 from the In-Situ web site, then uploading the firmware to your instrument.

* Level TROLL 500 users must have hardware version 1.0 or greater to be able to receive the upgrade.

Improved Level TROLL 300 Accuracy
In-Situ is improving the pressure accuracy of the Level TROLL 300 to +/- 0.1% (0°C – 50°C). Any Level TROLL 300 with a manufactured date of August 1, 2007 or later will feature this improved accuracy.

New TROLL Com Communication Cables Coming Soon
Four new communication cables will be available by early September for interfacing with the Level TROLL, Aqua TROLL and TROLL 9500 family of instruments.  These cables are being launched in the Summer issue of the In-Situ newsletter.  The Cable connect versions connect to Rugged Cable via a titanium Twist-Lock connector and are fully waterproof.  Direct connect versions connect directly to the instrument and are suited for indoor use while programming or downloading the device.  All four versions feature a vent and an input for external power.
